Flash Builder 4 (final) With Aptana Studio and PDT/PHP Support

Wednesday24March

Flash Builder 4 just came out this week and I'm sure many people will be doing some PHP/XML development alongside Flash dev. (Adobe: I understand leaving out PHP, but how on earth do you miss out on adding an XML editor to Flash Builder 4?). Here's the steps to get everything working together:

  1. Install Flash Builder 4 standalone
  2. Run Flash Builder, then follow the Instructions from Aptana to install Flash Builder as a plugin: http://www.aptana.org/studio/plugin
  3. After Aptana installs, go to Window-->Preferences-->Install/Update-->Available Software sites
  4. select all the software sites that are disabled, and click Enable
  5. Open up the Aptana Plugin Manager (through the Aptana landing or Window-->Other Views-->Aptana Views)
  6. Click on the green + circle and choose PDT Development Tools and follow the onscreen instructions

Work's Demo Reel!

Wednesday16December

It's pretty nifty and showcases some of the cool flash microsites I've been working on since May. Check it out here!

No, I didn't do the shmancy video. Someone else at work did!

I haven't posted in a while...

Saturday23May

...not that I ever do.

But, I got my G license! Huzzah!

And I doubt anyone other than Ontarians will get it, but oh well.

I'm a moran*

Monday19January

Since it's winter in Canadia, I've been wearing boots to work to avoid the cold. And since I don't want to be walking around in uncomfortable boots, I've kept an old pair of shoes at work that I change into every day. Well, last week (or I think it was closer to the week before, since it was right after 'teh breakup'), I forget to change back into my boots before walking home. So the next day, I wear the shoes back into work and walk back home with my boots at the end of the day.

Or so I thought.

Today I'm standing on the sides of my legs, when I noticed something funny. The sole of my right shoe seemed bigger than the sole of my left shoe. I look closely at the shoes. They're both brown, and similar style. One's a faded colour...and...waitaminute! They're two different pairs of shoes! When I walked back with my shoes that one time, apparently I grabbed one shoe from the shoes I regularly wear and one pair from the shoes I keep at work! And I've been oblivious of this for two bloody weeks!

Although, at the same time: Here are the shoes. Can you blame me that I didn't notice?

*Typo intentional
